Its power is like a beacon to supernatural beings all over the world, all keen on feeding on the Hellmouth's power or else just settling in for the long-run.
It would make sense, then, that the Slayer has emerged in this past year as a student at McKinley. There aren't many people who can identify her on sight, but rumors abound that for the first time, she's not operating on a solo basis. It'd be quite the catch for someone to shut her little operation down and leave Lima free to less benign forces once again. There's only so much a vampire can stand to deal with, after all.

Part of it’s charm is the fact it’s a small group and the canon characters have been picked carefully and all of them write wonderfully - managing to keep to their characters traits while making them fit in perfectly with a Buffy-themed world.”

I'm confused so is Mike going to be Rachel's watcher?
Noope. Mr. Schuester is Rachel’s Watcher, but Mike’s got ties to the Watcher’s Council through his family, meaning that he’d be aware that there’s a Slayer in Lima even if he doesn’t necessarily know who it is (and he would know about the existence of vampires, obviously).
Do you accept OC's?
Sorry anon, but no. If we open up any more characters, which I honestly highly doubt at this point, they would come with preset FCs and biographies.
